PNG does not use the quality setting. PNG/WebP preserve transparency; JPG uses the selected background. Re-encoding removes metadata and may increase file size. Check the preview and size.
How to use
- Choose still WebP files or load the WebP example.
- Output is fixed to PNG; no quality adjustment is needed.
- Process, check transparency and dimensions, then download PNG.
Animated WebP is rejected. PNG preserves existing transparency but cannot recover details lost by lossy WebP or remove backgrounds automatically. Output may be larger.
Example: convert a still WebP illustration into a PNG for further editing.
This task accepts still WebP images only, not GIF, animated PNG/WebP, HEIC or SVG. Up to 10 MiB each, 10 files, 50 MiB for inputs and outputs each, 24 million pixels and 16,384 pixels per side per image, and 60 million pixels combined. Images are re-encoded after applying EXIF orientation; metadata is not retained. Encoding results may vary by browser.
Processing runs in a separate worker and stops after 30 seconds. Editing inputs or options clears previous results. Limits raise errors instead of truncating files.
